Petite Purse

21-IMG_1702

You may have seen a sneak peek of this cute purse if you follow my instagram or looked at the side bar of my blog that shows my most recent photos.  But, there wasn’t really an explanation to go with it, and it probably wasn’t as bright and vibrant.

I absolutely love the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper.  The Black and Vanilla look suits my taste so well.  I knew I wanted to make a cute treat purse for my Stamp Club.  I knew I wanted to use Modern Medley DSP & a pop of color.  Strawberry Slush stretch ruffled trim and an In Color detail did the trick.

I cut out a sheet of 12″ x” 6 DSP. I laid it on the Petite Purse Die strategically lining it up with the horizontal score line so that the dots would be facing the correct direction, if that makes sense. I wanted them to be straight on the front not off centered or rotated. I ran the die through the Big Shot and adhered the purse with Crystal Effects- my go to choice for adhering die cuts like this. I cut a piece of Strawberry Slush trim and glued it to the underside of the purse flap with TomBow Monoadhesive glue. Just draw a line with glue, place the ruffled trim and hold for a few seconds.  Add an In Color Boutique Detail to the front center for another pop of color.  Done!

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:

  • Modern Medley DSP
  • Big Shot
  • Petite Purse Die
  • Crystal Effects
  • TomBow Glue
  • In Color Boutique Details
  • Strawberry Slush Stretch Ruffled Trim

That was quick and easy and looks adorable. Now add a piece or two of chocolate and it’s the perfect treat to show appreciation. Happy Stamping!
