For today’s card, I have used the Language of Love stamp set banner stamps (I just love these!) and Happy Day stamp set. I created the card for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. Creating projects for card challenges make it easier for me to come up with something new and original. It is a jumping off point with color, pattern or layout inspiration.
Stampin’ Up! Supplies used:
Language of Love stamp set
Happy Day stamp set
Modern Medley DSP
Black card stock
Bermuda Bay card stock & ink
Strawberry Slush card stock & ink
Whisper White card stock
Versa Mark ink
White embossing powder
Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
Bermuda Bay twine (from tag a bag bundle)
I stamped the banners on white card stock in Bermuda Bay and Strawberry Slush and cut them out by hand. After adhering all of the layers to the Basic Black base, I stamped the sentiment in Versa Mark, added White embossing powder, tapped off the excess and hit it with the heat tool.
Although this card was made with no specific purpose in mind other than to craft, it would make an adorable baby card since the colors are pink and blue!
Good Morning stampers! Today I am in Fredericksburg with my hubs for a Legal related conference. Woo! While he is learning and I am semi learning, I’m catching up on some business, blogging, and partying (stamp partying, that is). I have a sweet card that can be used for almost any occasion, all you have to do is swap out the sentiment.

I have probably said it one hundred times by now, but I just love the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper. The Basic Black and Very Vanilla are striking. For this 3×3 card I started out with a Very Vanilla card base. I added a layer of Basic Black and then Modern Medley DSP. I added a final half layer to Basic Black. To top it off I cut out a Banner Greetings “thankful” stamped image, in Bermuda Bay, and adhered it with dimensionals. I added a small strip of Silver Glimmer Paper. I love that stuff. It adds the perfect amount of sparkle and shine. Top finish the card I added three little pearls.
