Hey there! Today we’re talking about a splurge vs steal on floral rugs. I’m so excited to start this new series called Splurge vs Steal where I’ll give you some great options for your next interior decorating project!

We all love getting a great deal! So, I’m going to show you high style home decor at good, better, and best levels. You’ll get to see what’s out there and a few affordable look dupes.

As always, when we move down a tier to a lower price point, sometimes quality can suffer over the long term. So, be sure to read the most current reviews and always look for real life photos of the decor pieces before you buy. I want your purchasing expectations to be realistic. But I will always do my best to share pieces with overall positive reviews.

Everyone’s budget is different and where you want to spend and save will vary. Grab your cup of coffee and check out this week’s splurge versus steal on wild colored floral rugs.

Splurge vs Steal on Floral RugsTHE DETAILS: FLORAL RUGS

For this week’s splurge vs steal, we’re talking about wildly colored floral rugs which add a punch to any living or bedroom space. You know I love color, so this is one of my favorites things to share!

I’ve sourced three floral rugs for you at a good, better, and best price and quality point. See: How much does it cost to decorate a living room?

TIPS ON USING FLORALS

Because these rugs are so bold, I’m going to give you a few ways to incorporate them into your room without overdoing it.

  1. Use the floral rug as the base.
  2. Choose a large enough size to hold seating (8×10 or larger).
  3. Stick to neutral walls paint colors. Use a solid if you choose to wallpaper.
  4. For the chairs or sofa, go solid in either the main accent color (pink) and neutral with the rest. Or choose a linen sofa and chairs.
  5. Add a layer with accent pillows in one or two complementary colors to tie in the rug- pink, green, yellow.
  6. If you are daring, pair with stripes in your other decor pieces.

REVIEW

First is the Ruggable floral rug. It is an affordable choice coming in at around $400 and has a solid 5 start rating. Ruggable rugs are machine washable which is an added bonus if you have pets or young children.

Next up is the Loloi Wild Bloom rug. It is made of 100% wool, which is high quality in terms of rugs. Wool repels stains well and is easy to maintain. It’s also soft underfoot. This pattern created by artist, Bari J, has been on my radar for a long time and I really love it. I love following her on Instagram!

Lastly, is an Anthropologie floral rug. It’s also made from 100% wool and will be easy to clean and maintain. It comes in with a slightly higher price tag, but has great reviews. Make sure you get the large sizes though, because the smaller rug sizes cut into the pattern.

GOOD: Ruggable Floral Rug

BETTER: Loloi Wild Bloom

BEST: Anthropologie Brilliant Poppies

Happy Decorating!
