The Only Entryway Mirror You’ll Ever Need
A few weeks ago my kids were playing outside and slamming the front door. Somehow it shook the entryway area enough to knock down the mirror. It shattered. The kids were already outside and luckily no one was hurt.
But my freshly made over entryway was missing the main player, a mirror over the navy blue console table. It was odd walking past and not being able to check myself right before running out of the door.
Knowing I needed a mirror was the easy part, ordering the perfect one is more difficult. Ballard Designs to the rescue.
It’s my go to place for home decor and furniture. I usually start there for inspiration. This time around, I already had the scalloped, textured Atoll mirror in my mind. It’s a crisp white, plaster feel that resembles a clam shell in shape but smooth to the touch.
The Atoll mirror is lightweight but substantial looking. As for hanging, it comes with two D rings and wall anchors with screws. So I ordered the mirror while it was on sale and eagerly awaited it’s arrival!
Atoll arrived this weekend and we measured and drilled the holes to hang this beauty up. I LOVE the way it looks in the entryway. It’s the perfect complement to the flying cranes and geometric patterns. The shape is organic and flowing and the color is crisp and clean.
This mirror truly elevates the entryway. It’s the perfect addition to our sweet home and I am so glad I ordered it.
The close up detail of the mirror shows the beveled edge and clamshell like frame.
Below, I’ve linked the major pieces that create my entryway. I get asked for the link to the wallpaper a lot. It’s peel and stick wallpaper, but also comes in traditional pasted paper.
