15 DAYS OF FALL {DAY 4}: Fill A Vase with Branches

Cutting branches and filling a vase is a simple process that can add a touch of nature to any room- but you’ve got to make it BIG.

First, choose your branch of chose whether that’s maple leaves, forsythia, dying hydrangeas- your fav autumn colored plant.

Cut 4-5 branches that are 4′ long (yes 4 feet not inches!). Those oversized branches will really give your vase a substantial feel.

Next, fill the vase with water, and gently insert the branches. You may need to adjust the angle of the cut to get the branch to sit evenly in the vase.

Finally, trim any leaves or stems that extend too far. With a little care, your cut branch will look fresh and vibrant for weeks adding fall color to your home.
