15 DAYS OF FALL {DAY 7}: Vacuum the Sofa

Sharing is caring!

Fall is here and that means it’s time to start getting your home ready for the cooler weather! In this blog series, we will provide a list of home maintenance and decorating tasks that you can do to prepare for fall over the next 15 days.

Each day we will give you another quick and easy task to get your home ready for fall, from decorating ideas to (mild) home maintenance.

15 DAYS OF FALL {DAY 7}: Vacuum the Sofa

The sofa is one of the most used pieces of furniture in the home, and it can quickly become covered in dust, dirt, and other debris. To keep it looking its best, it’s important to vacuum regularly.

In addition to vacuuming the couch itself, be sure to wash cushions and throw blankets. These are often overlooked but can harbor a surprising amount of dirt and dust.

Vacuuming not only removes visible dirt and debris, but it also helps to remove unseen allergens and bacteria. It will also leave your sofa smelling fresh and clean. So don’t neglect your vacuuming schedule – a little time spent now will prolong the life of your sofa and keep it looking its best.

Now is a great time to also vacuum the upholstered chairs and headboards in your home. I know this isn’t the most fun of the Fall 15 refresh, but it will keep your home feeling fresh!
